I am beginning to look forward each month to the great reveal of all the blog posts at THE SECRET RECIPE CLUB (SRC).
Here is the way it works. Each month, once a month, around 300 bloggers are assigned (secretly) one of the other bloggers participating. The assignment is to peruse that blog and choose a recipe that they have made and reproduce it, changing it to suit your own style or cooking it exactly the same. Then, of course, blog about it on the reveal day. There are 4 different reveal days spread out through the month so it won’t be too overwhelming to follow. Today is my reveal day! One more thing, our hostesses are Tina with Mom’s Crazy Cooking and Amanda with Amanda’s Cooking.

First for the photos……
Now for the recipe……
FAST AND EASY GARLIC PARMESAN BREADSTICKS
www.cookwithsara.blogspot.com
3 cups bread flour
2 tsp dry active yeast
1 1/8 cup warm water
1/2 tbsp garlic powder
2 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp Parmesan Cheese
1 1/2 tsp sal
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp melted butter
Enough extra Parmesan to sprinkle on top
Put the yeast into the warm water and let sit for about 10 minutes. Mix all the dry ingredients together. In the mixer bowl, pour in the water and yeast. Add the oil. Using the mixing attachment, slowly add the flour mixture until it is all blended together. Change to the kneading attachment and knead for 10 minutes on a slow speed.
This recipe makes 20 breadsticks. Divide it into 4 parts first and then cut each of those into 5 pieces. Roll these into balls and then stretch them into the shape of breadsticks. This recipe had the perfect amount of ingredients to make the perfect consistency.
Sara says to let these rise for 40 minutes but in my cold kitchen (because I had my air conditioning blasting…still), I let them rise for 2 hours. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cook these for 15-20 minutes, depending on your oven. My oven took 18 minutes and as you can see from the photos, I didn’t get them too brown. That was my goal but you might like them a little browner.
I hope you will go check out all the great recipes on The Secret Recipe Club by following the button I have on my sidebar or the one in this post. Also, please go check out Cook with Sara, whose recipe I am enjoying.
